Every brand has a beginning, but for me, Becalia Botanicals started in the most personal of places: my own kitchen. With a blender, a handful of natural ingredients, and inspiration rooted in my Mexican heritage, I set out to create products that honored culture, family, and community.

The Name Becalia

The name Becalia is woven from three generations of women in my family — my grandmother Rebeca, my mother Otilia, and my daughter Aaliyah. Each letter carries their legacy, reminding me that skincare is more than surface-level. It’s about connection, heritage, and the stories we pass down.

From Kitchen Experiment to Hero Products

I began with scents and textures that reminded me of home: natural botanicals, oils, and rituals that grounded me in my culture. What started as kitchen experiments quickly grew into a full product line — facial oils, body care, and candles — all crafted to nurture skin and spirit.

Why Heritage Matters in Skincare

Becalia Botanicals is more than a skincare brand. It’s a way to:

  • Honor culture: Inspired by the plants and rituals of my heritage.

  • Celebrate community: Every purchase supports underrepresented communities.

  • Build with purpose: A portion of sales goes to grassroots organizations like El Refugio, supporting immigrant families.

From Customers to Community

What keeps me going isn’t just creating products, but seeing how they bring people together. Becalia has grown through partnerships, markets, and collaborations — but most importantly, through the trust of those who believe in our mission.

From my kitchen to your hands, every Becalia product carries a piece of story, culture, and care. This journey has always been about more than skincare — it’s about building something that truly matters.
